Cool Quote

Paul Hewitt wrote in the insight box on page 14 of his 10th edition of Conceptual Physics: "Art is about cosmic beauty. Science is about cosmic order. Religion is about cosmic purpose."

This statement led me to state: "Science is what tickles the brain, art is what tickles the heart, and religion is what tickles the soul. So, let's all be tickled one way or another!"

What statement does Paul Hewitt's quote inspires you to state regarding art, religion, and science?

  1. I am not very good at this type of thing, but I'll give it a shot.

"Art causes one to perceive with their own discretion.
Religion causes one to believe with their own discretion.
Science causes one to perceive and belive without discretion."

Also, came up with this one.

"Art depicts your place in the world.
Relgion tells you your place in the world.
Science shows you your place in the world."

  2. With the stroke of the artist's paintbrush, one's soul senses splendor.
With the content of the cleric's faith, one's core comprehends completion.
And with ending of the scientist's experiment, one's outlook obtains order.

    Oh well-- I tried :)

  3. Art is how someone express's themself,
Science is how someone can express the great truths of the universe,
Religion drives how we view the arts and sciences

  4. The tri-dimensionality of the world extends to humanity. Man's dimensions of heart, mind and soul are expressed through art, science and religion. No one dimension can reduce or eliminate the others. But neglect of even one will collapse the Whole.
